Introducing RCIA
The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) is a process for those interested in exploring or joining the Catholic Church. Becoming a Catholic can be a life-changing experience, and people come to the faith at various ages and stages in their lives.
Catholicism is centered around three sacraments of Christian initiation: baptism, confirmation, and the Eucharist. Individuals become Catholic through baptism or, if they have been validly baptized in another Christian denomination, through a profession of the Catholic faith followed by confirmation and the Eucharist.
Preparation is essential for adults and children over the age of seven before joining the Catholic Church. The RCIA guides and supports them on this journey.
